Synopsis
Expect a quiet weather day for both districts following the passage of the cold front. Northwesterly winds will persist throughout much of the day today, bringing dry air to the region. Temperatures will range from the upper 70s in district 2 to mid 80s in district 1. Dewpoints will be in the 40s across both districts. The lack of moisture in the region, and the presence of a surface high pressure approaching from northeastern Montana, will inhibit any significant weather during the entire forecast period.
7/12/21
200mb analysis shows the persisting upper-level ridge over the southwestern United States, with a weakening and flattened jet streak over the northwestern United States.
500mb analysis shows no mid-level shortwaves moving through the region, aiding in quiet weather for the forecast period.
A large area of surface high pressure will influence our region from the northwest, helping to keep the weather quiet for the forecast period.
Northwesterly winds today will bring dryer air to the region, resulting in low dewpoints in the 40s.
